Arizona Pain Society would like to welcome all those interested in sponsoring quarterly programs.

There are many advantages to sponsorship of events: Exposure to the largest group of pain management providers in Arizona – including but not limited to M.D.’s, D.O.’s, PA’s and NP’s.  This group also includes not just pain management providers but also primary care physicians, interventional physicians, and various other medical specialties. 

There has been a precedent of expectations established by APS thus far, as the members are a paying group of individuals.  Each presentation is designed to enhance and further education, benefit each individual practice, and bring to light current, emerging, and difficult topics.  Each speaker is renowned in their field, and recognized nationally as experts.  This has been a purposefully structured precedent, differing from the current forum of commercially branded programs. 

Past presentations have typically included 2 separate speakers, 30-45 minutes each of a non-branded talk with a question and answer segment.  The financial backing that we have received so far from various sponsors and pharmaceutical companies has been greatly appreciated, so allowances have been granted for a sponsored speaker to split his/her time to incorporate both a commercial and a non-commercial discussion.  This is done on a case-by-case basis, with an understanding that both discussions must continue to benefit all members.   

As stated above, our ultimate goal of each program is to continue to provide education topics from nationally recognized experts in various fields.  This has created a need to ensure that the discussions are free from specific boundaries from sponsoring companies.  Each speaker and topic is reviewed and then agreed upon prior to a meeting being announced.
